My Beach Boys

My Beach Boys

Sandy bums, sandy faces.. sand everywhere but we don’t care : ) Neither of our boys have been to the ocean before so it was really exciting for us to watch them put their little toes in the water. We got up early one morning to go and enjoy the beach to ourselves and it was so relaxing hearing the waves and watching my boys play and laugh. It’s those moments that I mentally freeze and keep forever. YESSS I know that sounds corny but it’s true. Watching Robert chasing Kyden down the beach and Kyden laughing every time a wave got Roberts feet while Jett fell was snuggled up in my arms… those moments are the best. And we found out that Kyden absolutely is a beach boy, he had the biggest smile on his face every single day we went to the beach and anytime he heard an airplane flying over us he would run and grab his toy airplane (thanks uncle Daniel) and yell “airplane… airplane” and it always made me smile how excited he got about it. What didn’t make me smile is the fact that he would make sure to get a huge cup of sand to bring back up with him… which Robert and I had to always do our best to dispose of ninja style otherwise I’m sure he would have wanted to sleep with it like he sleeps with his coins currently (if you watch my insta stories I’m sure you’ve seen him with his handful of precious coins which I’m always having to clean and disinfect). Does anyone else have kids that like to collect dirty things and sleep with them? He used to be addicted to collecting rocks and he would bring his cup of rocks to bed with him and when he fell asleep we would remove them but he’s onto money now… smart kid and always wants more haha (me too bubba)

Jett is just always such a calm go with the flow baby and loves to just watch his big brother be wild. He truly never ever fusses and the only time I can think of where he actually gets upset is when I’m feeding him food and I’m not getting the spoon back in his mouth fast enough haha. But he loved sitting in the front of our double stroller and would kick his legs and wave his arms non stop it was cute to watch (if you are traveling with multiple kids and you are looking for a good stroller I would highly suggest this one that we bought, it folds up small enough to be a carry on and it’s currently on sale for over 30% off!!). At one point he was leaning in his stroller with his hat on backwards and was just being way too cool for his little age and loved all the attention he got especially when people would talk to him… he literally turned into a hyper diaper 😉

Here are a few pictures from our beach day, I hope you enjoy them as much as we do!

Those buns : )

Well… Jetts having a good time haha

We started a tradition.. we always take a picture of all our feet together whenever we go on a trip haha weird but I love it!

Guys… my hat… I chased that thing around the beach all day! Robert should have gotten a picture of that haha

One question we always get is how do you travel with such young kids so much, isn’t it hard? Truthfully no, I’m not sure if it’s becuase our kids have been traveling since the’ve been born, Kyden has been on 65+ flights and Jett 13. We’ve learned along the way what works best for them and now they do really well with traveling. In fact Kyden thinks airports are like Disneyland, he gets to go on trains, escalators, moving sidewalks (what are those really called? I have no idea) elevators, airplanes and  he can run wild so to him its heaven. However because of all our road trips and flying we’ve done with the kids we have learned things that work well and we prepare for each trip. I’m planning on writing a blog post about tips and tricks we’ve learned along the way when traveling with a toddler and baby that hopefully will help some of you parents out there enjoy trips even more.

Thank you again Grand Hyatt Baha Mar for hosting us, we truly had the best trip!

XX, Stacey
