I just wanted to end with a heartfelt message as this past week has been one of the most heartbreaking weeks for Canada and the entire hockey world, especially back in my home province of Saskatchewan. The recent Humboldt Bronco’s tragedy has left me and I believe all of us with such a heavy heart and many questions. I didn’t know any of the deceased but as a human being I think  it completely breaks us all when we think about them and their families. Lets make today and everyday count. It’s so easy to get caught up in the chaos and negative things of life but we never know how long we have here and how long we have our loved ones with us. Life is incredibly short, give your children countless hugs a day, tell them how much you love them, be silly, make the most of all moments – small and big, call your parents, parents call your children, don’t worry about what people think, be yourself to the fullest, laugh till you cry, be the best friend you can, love and encourage your spouse and embrace all the moments we are given with each other. We owe it to ourselves to make the most of this life and the most of the time we are given! More than ever… spread LOVE like it’s confetti! Lets be a banner of love for the hurting, letting them know they are not alone. Helping however we can with our prayers, hugs, donations or just being present! My prayers are with those precious families going through the most difficult time that anyone can  imagine. As a parent my heart aches when I try to even fathom what they are going through and I don’t know and I hope I never have to. I also pray my kids never have to go through loosing Robert or myself, my heart aches for those children now without a father. Lets keep  all those affected, family, friends, community and the players still trying to recover in the hospital in our prayers. God be with them, holding them tight in his mighty arms, healing them and comforting their shattered hearts.

XX, Stacey
